Minimalist Residence in Tujunga

My clients are a lovely and sociable couple with two kids. For this reason, the overall concept of the space was designed as a modern art studio with a lounge zone which would always look attractive, present a successful image, and would hold a large number of guests. The house is designed in a minimalist style. The living and dining areas are merged into an open floor. . I proposed to add some colors to the completely white house which would also support the bright colors of the garden and the pool, visible through the large floor-to-ceiling windows. . Most parents know that having light sofas isn’t an option when they have little kids, that is why adding more colors was a perfect solution from all points of view. I’ve chosen cozy and laid-back sofas, made in blue and mustard colors by Rove Concept Factory. We managed to set a certain harmony between the colors and textures: the glossy surface of the white marble fireplace and side tables mix well with the large marks of bright furniture and light gray soft rugs. Large scale modern art canvases resemble an atmosphere of an art gallery, while the deep velvet sofas give a feeling of comfort and bohemian lifestyle. The interior came out light, fresh and ethereal, tying the whole idea together.
