The space saving design of this two bedroom apartment based in the Leningradsky Prospekt in the centre of Moscow is the work of Russian creative firm, Crosby Studios. . . Inspired by what is ostensibly a “Brooklyn loft’ aesthetic, Crosby Studio took their design references from renown Russian architect Konstantin Melnikov and works from sculptor Donald Judd during the Minimalism movement to create a two bedroom home in a ten metre long space. . . Divided into three separate zones consisting of a kitchen area, a dining area and a sleeping and resting area that has been cleverly sectioned off behind full height steel and glass doors. Entry to the white washed apartment is through a corridor lined with full height built in cupboards that flow out through to the dining and living area with a back leather hammock swinging in the back corner enticing you in. . . With the bedrooms nestled off the dining room and enclosed behind the steel and glass doors, the young owners of this inner city apartment can cocoon themselves away when looking for privacy – or a way to escape their weird looking cats.* The raw, exposed cement ceiling and the brownstone looking windows add to the whole ‘New York loft’ feel of this cleverly designed, inner city apartment. . .
