TV-show "Dachnyi Otvet"

Playing by the rules of TV show with rather limited budget, I turned 30 sqm basement premise into a chic living room. It was a room of 2,3 m height with single asymmetric window and broken fireplace. To create illusion of high ceiling, I decided to make it coffered and abandon central chandelier, which occupied a lot of space. As it was not possible to make another window, I built LED lighted faux window to balance the existing one and to provide the room with more light. Broken fireplace in the corner of the room was replaced by an electric fireplace aligned to the wall. . To make the room's interior consistent and complete, I decorated the walls with textured panels and replaced curtains and cushions. Sequins, beads and silver leaf helped me to make a scarlet flower on the wall lively shimmer in the light. Mirror with unique handmade frame design found its place above the fireplace as a present to the apartment's host.
