Среди многочисленных сокровищ RUKS Museum есть серия графических шедевров с подписью «Амстердам, 1719, А. Senegat». Когда я впервые увидела эти работы, они поразили меня сочетаним безудержной фантазии, выраженной в мистической трансформации природных форм, и реализма, с которым показаны разнообразные веточки, виноград, растения и цветы. Among numerous treasures of RUKS Museum there is a series of graphic masterpieces signed «Amsterdam, 1719, A. Senegat». First time I saw these works, they amazed me with fine combination of impetuous imagination, expressed in the mystical transformation of natural forms, and realism, shown in the delineation of fig twigs, grapevines, various plants and flowers. It seemed like the painter tried to reflect fantastic inconceivability and diversity of Nature and to appease the audience with familiar patterns at the same time.
