Liberty kitchen
A breath of innovation in 19th century art, a breath of fresh air in the great tradition of classic luxury furniture: liberty – a true breakaway style and an ode to joy and decorative taste – finds its way into the kitchen, thanks to Vazzari creations inspired by foremost names in the Viennese Secession such as Joseph Maria Olbrich and Gustav Klimt. . We had left you before the summer by promising a surprise linked to the two greatt masters of 19th century Viennese art, and here we are now, keeping our word, and showcasing the beautiful Liberty kitchen: gold inlays that brighten up the snow-white surface, precious curls and floral motifs that weave themselves into several different elements, luminosity, richness and luxury come together in a creation destined to win over hearts and minds for years to come. If, by reading this description, your mind has wandered to Vienna’s majestic Secession building then you are spot on: Vazzari has drawn upon this monument – symbol of Viennese Liberty – to create a unique kitchen, whose hallmarks are outstanding class and freshness. . Created by a young Joseph Maria Olbrich on a plan drafted by Gustav Klimt, a key figure in the Viennese Secession, the building entrance alternates white blocks with sinuous lines, and lavish gold leaf friezes, reminiscent of a hallway to a temple where only the initiated are granted access. . . . . The same skilful blend between the starkness of the white and the brightness of the wrought gold can also be found in the Liberty Kitchen, which takes its cue from all the above: floral designs in bas-relief, gold leaf decorations applied by hand, capitals with carved flower motifs, and cast glass moulding with manually sandblasted Art Nouveau designs. All these create an ambience that is at one fresh and luxurious, perfectly suited as much to classic as to modern decor.
